Really interesting track. I like those little runs you did with an acid synth slowly building up to some kind of subtle addition. It's wonderful for a game soundtrack, which i assume this was made for, so awesome job! Are you using a digital synth on here or do you have some analogue hardware? Either way it sounds great!

Fyresale responds:

Heh, many thanks! The synths used here are mostly Nexus 2 and Absynth, although I'd absolutely love to get my hands on some nice hardware to play with someday. XD

Really love that fat bass and the...to be completely honest I'm not entirely sure what that sound in the beginning is. It sounds like a sculpture synth of some sort, but it's a really interesting sound. And the calmer part about 2:00 in sounds really great. The only problem I had with it was that I thought there was a bit too much going on in the beginning, but I assume it's just adding to the build up to that nasty baseline, so it's fine now that I look back on it. Anyways really great track! I'd love to hear more stuff like this.

SkullDrone responds:

thanks for the review! Ok, so that sound at the begining is a preset arp that I completly modified, which is also the lead later on. Also, fat basses are my specialty haha.

Yeah i guess its a bit crowded at the intro, but i can't really find another way to build it up the way i want it to :P

if this gets good feedback, you can count on more being made.

Incredible. Very soothing and tasteful. I love the percussion on this track. The side chained pads are also really pretty. Well done.

Oh and the eq sounds great! You have nothing to worry about.

APerfectContrast responds:

Thanks for listening man, thats great to hear! :)

I love the structure of your chords. On every piece I've listened to you, each one struck a nerve with me. Great stuff. Like, really great stuff. The horns are just so groovy. I love it

xxxZigZagxxx responds:

Thanks PlayingInParks. Your encouragement is really appreciated. :)

Loved the sound design on this track. The breathy synth and the resonating snap are very original and I can't say I've heard many things like it. It's almost as if the snap is like a rain drop, dripping into a puddle in a room with tons of reverb. Really great tune you've got here, my friend. Keep up the great work.

xxxZigZagxxx responds:

Thanks PlayingInParks for the really cool feedback. I'll keep in mind to keep things breathy and fresh in the future. I'm glad you're a fan. Thanks for the encouragement :)

Interesting track. I really enjoyed it the odd melody and all the electric mallets. Great tune. But when you say you have no idea where to go with it, why not leave it as it is? It sounds great. Who cares about the length. As long as you are content with the finished product, that's all that matters.

asid61 responds:

The problem is, I don't like the ending. I'll just add in some kind of exit.

What a phenomenal song. The ambience tied in with the resonating guitar sends chills down my spine. Gorgeous. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I look forward to the next track.

Macca3232 responds:

Thank you very much, this song means alot to me and I'm happy you like it.

Love this track. The koto sounds are fantastic. That tied with the deep strings in the background make a really soothing and pretty sounding track. I just wish you would cut out the singled out synth in the beginning. Really messes with the loop in my opinion. Anyways, I love this tune. It's going to be looping in my head for a good while.

JackySmiles responds:

AHAHAHAHA wow thank you! And thanks so much for that actual bit of critique you gave concerning the single 8bit synth part. I actually wondered about that myself... Shite. Shoulda gone with tha gut, and thank you for the bits regarding the koto sounds. I really took my time with making that sound authentic... Pain staking, but worth it! Thanks again!

Your rhymes are solid and you're talking about some relatively interesting stuff. Catchy hook. You just really have to work on your flow and get your pronunciations down on rhythm. Just because you start a word and end it on beat, doesn't mean all the other syllables inside the word are also timed correctly. But solid track. Keep up the good work.

cursed666 responds:

yaknow... I felt the same way, thinkin I'll redo the vocals anyway because I use guitar rig 5 for vocal enhancement, and it added some kind of weird reverb that didn't blend well with the other effects.

Thanks for your word, dawg, peace!
